AI and Automation Readiness Assessment: Terms of Engagement
Version date: October 8, 2026
These terms apply between Rommel Casis, carrying on business as zedStrong AI Systems (“zedStrong”), and the business that books the AI and Automation Readiness Assessment (the “Client”). The person who books confirms they have authority to accept these terms for the Client.
1. What the Client gets
zedStrong will review how the Client’s business runs today and recommend where automation will help. The Client receives:
- an Assessment Call of 60 to 90 minutes, by video or in person, at the time the Client books;
- a written report within five (5) business days after the Assessment Call, covering the current state, a prioritized list of opportunities, the top three recommendations, readiness notes, what to hold off on, and next steps; and
- a Review Call to walk through the report and answer questions.
2. Fee
2.1 The fee is $600 CAD, plus applicable taxes.
2.2 zedStrong sends one invoice after the Assessment Call. It is due within fifteen (15) days. Accepted payment methods are Interac e-Transfer, cheque, and credit card through zedStrong’s invoicing system.
2.3 The Client may cancel or reschedule before the Assessment Call at no charge. Once the Assessment Call has taken place, the full fee is owed.
3. What the Client provides
The Client will:
- have the owner or decision maker attend the Assessment Call, with any staff who run the day-to-day work;
- be ready to show the tools it uses, such as email, calendar, CRM, and booking software; and
- answer follow-up questions by email within a reasonable time, so the report stays on schedule.
4. How the Client’s information is handled
4.1 Viewing only. The Client shows its systems on screen or in person. zedStrong does not log in to the Client’s systems, and it does not copy or export the Client’s customer records.
4.2 Recording. zedStrong records the Assessment Call and creates a transcript, so the report reflects what the Client said. zedStrong asks for the Client’s agreement at the start of the call. The Client may ask zedStrong to stop recording at any time.
4.3 AI tools. zedStrong may use AI tools to help analyze its notes and the transcript and to draft the report. Some of these tools are provided by companies that process data in the United States. zedStrong reviews and edits every report before it is delivered.
4.4 Retention. zedStrong keeps the recording and transcript for thirty (30) days after the Review Call, then deletes them. zedStrong keeps the report and its own notes as a business record.
4.5 Confidentiality. zedStrong keeps the Client’s business information confidential. It uses the information only to prepare the report and to discuss next steps with the Client.
5. The report
5.1 Client’s use. The Client may use the report for its own business. It may share the report with its staff, advisers, and any provider it chooses to carry out the recommendations, including someone other than zedStrong.
5.2 zedStrong’s methods. zedStrong keeps ownership of its methods, checklists, templates, and report format.
5.3 Tool recommendations. The report may name third-party tools and their typical costs. Costs are estimates based on public pricing when the report is written, and vendors may change them.
6. What this is not
6.1 The assessment is an operational review. It is not an implementation project, an IT security audit, or legal or compliance advice.
6.2 The report gives zedStrong’s professional recommendations. zedStrong does not guarantee any specific result, such as time saved or revenue gained.
6.3 The Client has no obligation to hire zedStrong for any further work. If the Client does, that work is covered by a separate Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work.
7. Liability
zedStrong’s total liability arising from this assessment is limited to the fee the Client paid for it. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits.
8. General
8.1 These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
8.2 These terms are the entire agreement for the assessment.
8.3 The Client accepts these terms by ticking the agreement box when booking the Assessment Call. The version in effect on the booking date applies.
8.4 zedStrong may update these terms for future bookings. Changes do not affect an assessment already booked.
